Synergy Face + Body by Travis Shaw, MD is a physician-led med spa and facial plastic surgery practice serving Richmond, Midlothian, and Central Virginia. It is the practice Dr. Travis Shaw founded in Richmond in 2012, now operating as part of Synergy Face + Body. Dr. Shaw โ a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon and Richmond native who has practiced in the area since 2009 โ continues to lead the practice and treat patients at both Virginia locations.
What the partnership means
In 2012, Dr. Shaw partnered his Richmond practice with Synergy Face + Body, a medical spa and plastic surgery group founded in North Carolina. The partnership brought a broader range of treatments and newer cosmetic technology to the Virginia practice, along with additional resources for the team. The physician, the providers, and the approach to patient care did not change โ patients who saw Dr. Shaw before the partnership see the same team today.
Synergy Face + Body operates locations in both North Carolina and Virginia. Synergy Face + Body by Travis Shaw, MD is the Virginia practice, and it has two locations: Richmond and Midlothian. Dr. Shaw leads both. He does not practice at the North Carolina locations, and the Virginia offices are the only places to see him.

Both offices offer injectables, laser treatments, clinical skin care, and medically supervised weight management. Facial plastic surgery โ rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, chin implants, septoplasty, and earlobe repair โ is performed by Dr. Shaw.

Synergy Face + Body has been in business for over 18 years in North Carolina. They are an award-winning medical spa, with four locations and over 65 medical and spa providers. Partnering with Synergy will allow us to provide a more robust array of services and cosmetic technology to our patients and will also provide additional resources and opportunity for growth to our team.
You can still expect the same level of personalized care that you’ve come to know at Travis Shaw MD. I specifically chose to partner with Synergy because of their dedication to providing the highest level of patient care.
