SINUS INFECTION RELIEF

Facial pain, pressure, congestion and feeling tired are the hallmarks of a sinus infection. One of the more exciting developments in the treatment of sinus infections and headaches is balloon sinuplasty. This is a minimally invasive procedure performed in our office under local anesthesia.

USING BALLOON SINUPLASTY FOR A SINUS INFECTION

Many people have heard of angioplasty, where a small catheter is placed into a clogged artery and a balloon used to dilate the vessel to allow increased bloodflow. Balloon sinuplasty uses the same concept: A small lighted wire is passed through the sinus opening and then a balloon inflated to create a larger opening, allowing the sinuses to function properly and avoid pain and sinus infection.
