Patient Care Team

Laura-Beth

Patient Care Coordinator/Office Manager

Laura-Beth’s friendly, smiling face and warm welcome are usually the first experiences that pa-tients have with our practice. We are fortunate to have a committed, caring professional on our team who strives to get to know each patient as an individual. In addition to coordinating surgeries and diagnostic testing, she obtains insurance authorizations, educates patients on eligibility and benefits information, and provides any pre- or post-op information. Laura-Beth directs all aspects of the Skin Care Department. She oversees scheduling, patient flow, treatment options, home-care retail, and everything in between — from your initial consultation to your customized care contract. In her role as Office Manager, Laura-Beth also ensures the practice is in compliance with HIPAA regulations and finds innovative ways to support our sustainability initiatives.

Always a generous welcome and a continuous guide, Laura-Beth is your true Concierge in both the Clinical and Skin Care Departments. Her expertise and experience are incomparable, and she takes great pride in creating the most personalized treatment plan for you. Her favorite Skin Care products are SkinCeuticals Toner (she admits she doesn’t always wash her face on a daily basis) and the Blemish & Age Serum to keep her skin soft and youthful! She recommends a combina-tion of Botox & Dysport for a natural youthful appearance at the forehead, brows and around the eyes. Her favorite facial treatment is the Pico Laser Facial, as it has shown great improvement in her acne and acne scarring. Her door is always open for recommendations based on your partic-ular needs and concerns, without hesitation.

A graduate of Matoaca High School, Laura-Beth studied project management at John Tyler Com-munity College. Her prior experience in the health care field includes reception, billing and serving as a Concierge with HCA Hospitals. Laura Beth has worked alongside Dr. Travis Shaw for over 8 years, and has lead the Practice in achieving subsequent “Best of Richmond” recognition. Away from the office, she is the proud mother of two who enjoys time with her family and boating at the lake.
